EBCAM is a Founding Member of the ESBC, and actively participate in their works.
A Task Force composed by representatives of the EU and SADC Members meets regularly.

The EC and SADC Ministerial Trade Conference took place on March 4th, 2008 in Gaborone, Botswana, with the participation of the EC Commissioner for Trade. A joint declaration on EPA's negotiations was issued at the occasion.

The Task Force Meeting took place in Brussels and Johannesburg, by video conference on March 10th, 2008. Following activities have been iniciated or are foreseen:

• Revisit earlier ESBC position papers and establish outstanding issues in vue of the 2008 EPA's negotiations
• Perform a review of the Investment Climate related with the EPAs
• Prepare outline discussion paper concerning futere monitoring of EPA's practical aspects implementation.
